Modelling transport processes in stellar interiors using asteroseismic data
Observatoire de Genève, Université de Genève, 51. Ch. des Maillettes, 1290 Versoix, Switzerland
In this contribution, the modelling of transport processes in stellar interiors is first presented. The impact of rotation, magnetic fields and internal gravity waves on the internal and global stellar properties are briefly described. We then discuss how asteroseismic measurements can help us constrain these transport processes, with a peculiar focus on the detection and characterization of solar-like oscillations in red-giant stars.
