Mass-Loss Rates and Luminosities of Evolved Stars in the Magellanic Clouds

I describe how (dust) mass-loss rates and luminosities can be derived from fitting the SEDs of evolved stars in the Magellanic Clouds. I will discuss in more detail the influence of dust size, type and shape on the appearance of the dust features in the mid infra red.
