Dynamics of different layers traced by [C ii] and CO in bright-rimmed clouds in IC 1396

Abstract
We mapped 4 bright-rimmed clouds in IC 1396 in the veloci-ty–resolved [C ii] 158 μm emission, and analyzed the dynamics of gas components traced by [C ii] and CO. In all rims the [C ii] emission is not fully reproduced by the CO line profile, indicating a complex origin of the line emission including ablating material.
